Polk 5JR Specs

hey folks.
I've got a pair of Polk 5JR's in the mail; they're the ones with just the tweeter and driver (not the passive radiator).

I'm having some trouble finding any kind of spec sheet for this model. I'm most interested in the frequency range. Does anybody have this information? :scratch2:

thanks mystery, I've seen that before actually. the polk club does some pretty cool stuff.

is there a spec sheet out there, maybe from a catalog, that would give the frequency response, sensitivity, etc?

Strangely, saw specs on amazon that quoted 30-26khz and 92db ... Doesn't spec how many db down it is at 30 ... Guessing a lot.

inscrutable, I've seen the same things a couple of times. I just have a hard time believing that without the passive radiator they'd be able to reach so low

No, that the output at that frequency may be greatly reduced from the magnitude that was recorded and fed to it. Those specs do not indicate the range of output variation from the recording/input.

Here, I found a reasonably good primer on this here.

Interestingly, near the end, there's a statement from the (then) marketing manager at Polk that would imply the speaker is down 9db at 30hz

That's a super interesting article, definitely helps me to frame what I'm looking at. And yeah I took that comment the same way. I suppose I'll have to just wire them up and check them. I've got an oscillator app so I plan on giving it a frequency test
