Polk Audio Monitor Series 2!

Hi all... I am trying to find a little input on Polk Audio speakers, which I'm not familiar with.
I went with a friend the other day to purchase an SX-950, and the gentlemen was driving a pair of Polk Audio Monitor series 2 speakers.
I'll tell you, I was blown away by the sound I heard coming out of them little speakers.
I'd like to know if anyone is familiar with these speakers, who could possibly recommend some bigger Polk Audio speakers with the same characteristics.

Is this the common signature sound in the Polk Audio Monitor series line?

I've been looking for some small speakers to pair with my sons Sansui Seven,
and I think I found them, but I'd like some big brothers for myself.

Do you know which model you were listening to. Or the approximate dimensions would help too. Anyway all of the Series II Monitors should have the same basic sound characteristics.

They were Polk Audio Monitor series 2 M3. The speakers have plastic boxes, and the back is rounded, making the speakers lean back. I can't believe how good they sounded.
