Polk Audio Sda 1a

I have a chance at some Polk Sda 1a's....Owner is a bit high in price in my opinion...wants "around $500" for them. they look mint...have upgraded gold binding posts/banana jacks..and upgraded fuses from polk. One of the Sda tweets is not working tho which would cost around $40. What would you guys offer? I'm thinking $300 if they are as nice as they look in the pics...Too high?

Great speakers. $300 seems fair if you need to do some work in them.

Hey it figures you'd say that! You and some others started me on the Polks by advising me to get my Monitor 10S...which i love! Are the tweets hard to come by for these?..they are not the Peerless like my M10s

I would hold out for some 1c if you can wait, if not then $300 max on those.

Sorry bout that!

The last time I checked, Polk actually made a redesigned and improved tweeter for these. I replaced all of mine actually, and it did sound great.

Lots of guys do the upgrade, so replacement tweeters are usually pretty easy to find. I think I ended up selling mine for something like $20 each.
