Polk Monitor 10 Grills...BORING! Looking to Mod

Would it be complete heresy to try to jazz up the bland black grills on my Polk Monitor 10's? I love the sound, but frankly the grills don't do a thing for me. I'd love to modify the grills with a lattice pattern or something to give them a little personality. Suggestions are welcome.

To each their own, but just get a different pair of speakers honestly.
Good luck ever selling them if you ruin the original grills. Maybe make some from scratch if you go down that route.

Maybe Orange or Blue like JBL used on some models? Any color really that would look good to you.

I did this with a pair of Bose 501/II’s. The original cloth was this awful burlap that was all scratched up and smoky, so I ripped them off and put some orange linen on there. Went from “disgustingly ‘70s” to “awesomely 70s” in a heartbeat!

Cool! Not sure I would put it on the sides, but a cool patterned cloth for the grill is a cool idea.

those 10b's are certainly not mine , I keep a document of off-the-wall stuff , here's the ad that go's with them , don't have a clue if he got what asked or were even sold .

Polk Speakers 12-19

145.00 Severna Park,Maryland

Polk 10B
Audiophile bucket list speakers.
This pair of Polk 10B speakers have been maintained in excellent condition.
One speaker was painstakingly hand painted to resemble a downtown building by a well known woman artist and Author who has illustrated over 175 children's books and developed characters and scenes in television shows for children.
There are a couple small scratches on the sides of the building. The detail work is impressive. The paint in no way affects the sound quality of the speaker. I hooked them up to my Sansui receiver last night and fully tested them.
Awesome sound quality is all I can say.
Cash only please.
Thank you,

Ya, not my style, but it can give ideas for grill cloth. At one point I was building distressed furniture when that trend was hot. I built qhat looked like an old floor standing radio stuffed with a mono tube tuner and amp with modern speakers. I used to use burlap a lot and weather it with tea.
I sold the crap out of that stuff. Even burlap with patterns applied with ink or paint using shaped wood stamps can look good.
