Polk Monitor 10 vs. RT55

Hi, all.

Looking to upgrade my speakers (baby advent II), and currently have the Polk Monitor 10 and RT55 available locally. I will be going to listen to each pair tomorrow, and am wondering which is a better set?

I am not set on the Polk brand ... it's just what is available at the moment.

Cheers.

Honestly, It's completely up to your ears. Since you have a chance to listen before you buy, just take music you know well and compare.

The Polk 10s are very nice. They come in several versions, with different tweeters. It has a passive woofer and surprisingly have a lot of bass. Albeit not super tight. Most recommend putting the 10s up on a stand off the ground.

I've never heard the RT55s. But if you do a search, I'm sure you'll find tons of info. I like Polks. I've had the 5s and the SDA-2s.

Good luck!

Polk Monitor 10s despite the usual hideous vinyl covering. Monitor 10s are a very listenable speaker that do a lot of things right. ADS L810s or L710s should also be on your radar.

I was leaning toward the 10's, as they just "look" better to me :rflmao:
Will update after I listen & look at them.

Thanks for the input!!
