That's an excellent grab you've made and especially for the price you mentioned

If it is a blade/blade connector, you can order the connectors here and assemble one yourself.

Some folks remove the original connector and use a Speak On connector. If you have a pin blade connection, the Speak On or something of that sort is your only option as those connectors are no longer available.
The SDA effect is intoxicating. None of my other speakers, including my NS-1000m's have such an open, spacious, wide and deep sound stage. I have the SDA 2a's and my room is not even optimal for the SDA but it sounds great.
Make sure the speaker connections on your amp connect to a common ground or you could damage the amp and speakers. Enjoy

If you go over to the Polk site you can see there are many generations of the same speaker w/ design changes.One big change was that the CRS used to have 2 tweeters per cabinet and that proved to be not so good for imaging and most people just unhooked one of the tweeters. Yes the i/c is very important you loose a lot of sound stage and imaging the whole purpose of the SDA line. Here's the link to the Polk SDA Handbook and get your read on. I my self have SDA 2Bs that used to have the blade/blade connector but I modded them w/ new binding posts and Neutrtrik/Speakon connectors and sold the original cable. If making your own cable it's advised to use the same hopefully a good quality speaker cable of your choice. YES the common ground amp is the most essential, these speakers like clean power from amps not AVR divided watts.

Here's the id for all Polk speakers and then you can check against the model you have. As you scroll down to the CRS you will see the differences. Again w/o the i/c cable you loose the dimensional drivers and tweeter. Keep in mind SDAs are a very placement finicky king of speaker and there are rules.
1. Only front firing no tow in or out
2. Spread of speakers at least 6' but not wider than 10/12'
3. You need 3' of clearance on both sides inner and outer to get the full effect
4. CRS were made to be on special stands not book enders or floor standers, somewhere in between.
5. It's a lot and I don't have all the rules down yet nor do the logistics of my house permit it.
If you notice on my 2Bs I have a good spread but don't have that 3' clearance on both sides..Personally I would be happy w/ a pair of Vandersteen 2ci or 3a but the SDAs came by me exceedingly cheap.

Great speakers at a crazy good price. Yes, you'll need the interconnect cable. I see them come up on Ebay from time to time. Or you can make one easily enough out of your favorite speaker cable.
Definitely need a bigger amp capable of more current if you're going to get the most out of these.

You can do that or you could use a crimp on type pin connector (this fits in the hole nicely) attached to a piece of speaker wire. Yes the blade is only there to stabilize the pin.
No, unless you change the jacks on the speakers to match. Polk still sells the cables. Contact them directly or join the Polk forum. There are several guys over there that can make you one or may have an extra cable for sale. I have a pair of CRS and there is no way an RCA plug will work on mine. I have the blade/blade type of connectors. They used a couple of different styles over the years.

Carl, his are pin/blade. So yes, what motostereo said is absolutely correct. Every CRS I've ever seen has been blade/blade, so yeah an RCA plug would most definately not work. The newer CRS+, are mostly pin/blade. I have seen early + models with blade/blade though.
From the photo of the pin/blade shown in the link above, I still don't see how an RCA plug will fit unless the outer tabs are broken off. Otherwise there would only be about 1/4" engagement. Hardly seems like that would be enough to hold it in place, hence the need for the blade.

I just got off the phone w/ Polk C/S. The guy said they do have a tech who does make blade/blade cables. How much ,I think that depends on if your a Polk Club Forum member or not. I also just checked and there are no original cables on E-BAY right now but a bunch of home made jobs
Polk C/S #-800-377-7665 ext-5208.. for that guy. By now you got the message this cable is the entire reason one gets SDAs in the 1st place ,otherwise you have decent speaker only.
