What the heck, it's the weekend, so let's play with some polls.
Driving into work today, I came, once again, to the sad conclusion that I listen the most to my car radio as my main source of music. So I figured, why not, let's take a poll??

I listen to my main 2 setups the most, In my office/den/mancave I have 2 main setups 8 speakers and alternate between them. then I rotate my other units in and out of this setup. its fun its easy let's play parc....whaaaaaaat am i saying........lol

By far and away the most time is listening to CD's on my computer at work through $10 headphones. Kind of sad. I've thought about setting up a system at work, but I have a cubicle not an office and any gear in it would be stolen within a week.:thumbsdn:

I listen mainly to my bedroom stereo, since it is my only stereo. I am, however, assembling a large stereo for the common area in my apartment around some cheap Sansui Classique speakers. I still wont use it much, but hopefully my roommates will.

Sirius radio in the truck and boombox on the job if it's new construction.

Main rig in the mornings for a couple of hours before work and a CD to go to sleep by.

My work system which is really just background noise. Don't get me wrong it is a good system but not my serious listening setup.

Most of the time it's the ancient portable Sony radio in the morning and the computer playing Radio Paradise or songs I've compiled while I work. Every once in awhile I'll fire up the main system and spin some tunes.

I hardly drive anymore and listing to music at my office wouldn't be the smartest decision I made this month so I would have to go with my TV/beater system which is my SX-1250

I spend the most time listening to my Office system which is the same amp and tuner as in my Main system Pioneer SA-9100 and TX-9100. On the weekends evenings are almost always the SHRINE (see sig below) And Friday nights are our Music date night at least a 1/2 dozen LP's for some pretty serious listening and a little necking LOL.

I save my serious music encounters for 'special times'. Nowdays I listen to AM talk radio night, day, and in the car.

Last night was Music Nite with my brother, Johnny. Cranked the main system for about 3 hours.

Now it's Friday Night! Watching a stupid vampire movie while surfing thru AK. Had a Special Time earlier today, though, for an hour or so.

I don't like background music too much. I'll put it on, sometimes, but I'd rather play something worth concentrating on at the level it was recorded.

Kind of like "all or nothing at all"

Rick

The big kahuna (note... I'm not refering to AK'er Kahuna), the problem it's in the same room as the TV that I rarely watch, so when that thing is on, I retreat to the other three systems. Or my kid is using here nIntendo that's hooked to said TV, or if I'm on the computer. All of my gear gets listened to everyday.

After reading all the responses, I think I'm actually gonna try to log my listening this week starting today. My big rig doesn't get much use as I'd like because it's in our basement computer area and I usually don't play it if the kids are online and playing music at there PCS, which is often. I did get a couple hours in last night though as they were away with friends. The CD carousel is always spinning in the garage if I'm out there and the car radio/cassette is on for my 5 hours of weekly commutes, plus all my other drive time, including all my weekly scrounging time.

So the clock is ticking now!!
