Polydome Infinity Kappa midrange replacement / fix

I value your opinion but it doesn't seem to be the consensus and my own listening tests tell me so.

We are collectively hoping that a member here comes up with a proper replacement and then hopefully "The Polydome Alternative" debate will come to an end.

Curious. Will the new polydome replacement eventually disintegrate as well?
 
Not trying to dig up an old argument, but for informational purposes, the replacement speaker linked in the first post of this thread must have changed since most of the preceding discussion occurred. If you follow the link you'll see that the impedance of the speaker they are now selling is 4 Ohms.

Regarding the Miller Sound refurbishment, does anyone know the cost if you provide everything but the disintegrated domes? I have looked on their website and it gives you all of the information from what they do to how to pack and ship your drivers to them, but no price.

I believe they may be getting close to $300/pair when you include shipping. Last number I saw a couple years ago was over $275
