Pop at the start and end - Dual 1229 and Harman Kardon 730 Not the capacitor!

I need some trouble shooting help. Right now I have two H/K730's, both recently restored. I also have two Dual TT's - a 1219 and a 1229, both also restored. Both TT's pop at start up and at the end of cycle. But only on my H/K receivers. I also have a Sansui G-7700 and a Marantz 2250B, and neither pop. Things I've tried: 1) replaced the capacitor in the 1229 with X2 275VAC .01 uF Safety film - no improvement. 2) reversed the TT plug at the outlet (not using outlets on the receivers), some improvement 3) new RCA cables 4) reseat the cartridge sleds 5) removed the spade connectors on the ground wires of the TT's and used the bare wire through the ground hole on the 730's. So, I don't know what to do next. Any thoughts are welcome. As a background, I have brought 6 Duals back to life in the past year so I'm very familiar with them. Soldering in a capacitor on those is about the extent of my ability on the electrical side of things.
