I haven't taken any portraits in a long time, I will have to remedy that. Here is one I really like, of my wife soon after we were married. I really like to use natural light for my portraits, like Edward Weston.

Ronnie, I have a calibrated monitor and your image looks way too yellow on my screen which may have been influenced by the color of the wall paper? Also, your subject and composition would be much improved if not for the the ghastly wall paper and the distracting candle. At the time of the shoot removing the wall paper would have been a challenge and maybe frowned upon but removing the candle would have been an easy fix and adds nothing to the composition by being there IMO. My sincere apologies if the wall paper is yours as I do not mean to offend but it does not compliment the bride in that photographic situation.

How about something like this? Not perfect but I think it serves to simplify the composition and add more interest to the bride by reducing the heavy yellow cast and with some much needed cropping.
