Hi Guys its a stripped CJ55 with new 3"x3" fir base and "vinyl wrapped" - I work in a sign shop, pick a HQ photo I like and print it out on vinyl and wrap the base and sides. I was looking to change the look as and when I fancied a change - will post the changes when they happen.

Looks like a wrap from the cover of a Nine Inch Nails CD.

After looking more closely he must be a real carver fan as everything is carver products. other than the TT.

That Logic DM101 has a nice Helius Scorpio tonearm. I used to have that model and found it very sweet.

Thanks it's by far the creme of the crop sonically far superior to my other tables yet rarely has it seen much use. I am not a big fan of fully manual tables

My Denon DP-75

I received the DP-75 late in September but their was a problem with the Technics EPA-100 tonearm wireing and Paul/Thedelihaus was gracious enough to take on the task of partially rewireing the arm. Yesterday after a couple months with Paul the EPA-100 was ready to go in service. No need to describe the Technics EPA-100 tonearm, it's a legend in its own time. Paul is a true craftsman and the arm is working perfectly. I installed it on the VPI HW-2plinth/base that weighs close to 40 pounds. The plinth is multi layered steel and ply glued togeather. The base is solid walnut, not veneered mdf, has springs in each corner and is even larger/heavier than the standard VPI HW19 plinth. The VPI plinth/base is slightly downsized and lighter than the 100 pound Mitch Cotter plinth/base. And lastly the Denon DP-75 motor unit weighs in at 22 pounds, has a double sprung platter and silent smooth motor. For those that consider specs it's right up there and best in class. The DP-75 was mfg from 1980 to 1985 and was one model below the Denon DP-100, Denons statement model that at the time rivaled the Technics SP-10Mk3 and the other Japanese cost no object turntables. Harry Westfeld offered his custom HW2 plinth/base with either the DP-75 or an equally good JVC motor unit and tonearm of choice. I temorarily set it up on a oak table and even with pounding my feet on the wood floor could not hear an interuption of the record playing. The DP-75 will end up on a large Target wall shelf for additional isolation from acoustical and mechanical feedback. After listening to it I am very pleased, the sound is rock solid and detailed no part due to the Technics EPC-205CMk3 cartridge on the EPA-100 tonearm. In a couple months I'll be sending the DP-75 motor unit to Jim Howard/Applied Fidelity for a freshning up of the caps etc and it will be good for another 30+ years of service. All I can say is if you happen to see one of these or a DP-80 and DP-6000 for sale in the USA don't hesitate or it will be a very long time before another shows up unless you want to have one shipped from Japan.
