Which cartridge?

I'm looking at a few different cartridges for the Denon DP -59L that I'm buying . I really didn't want to go much more than $500.

All of these are within compliance according to the chart on Vinyl Engine.

1) Sumiko Blue Point Special EVO III lo
Brand new $400.

2) Benz Micro Glider Lo, Retipped by Benz Micro $725

3) Benz Micro Glider Lo unknown hours, but looks good and is real clean. $500

4) Benz Micro ACE Lo unknown hours, but looks good and real clean. $550

5) Sumiko Blackbird lo Brand new $888

Deleted my last post as I didn't think that it was in compliance .

But I was looking at the wrong spec and I see that the AT-33 PTG/ii is definitely a contender.

What about a Denon 301? You could also look at the New Hana line. I have also seen the Benz Gold going for around $350 on the bay. I will have to say my 59L sports a Stanton 681eee and it's really nice.

I ordered a used AT-33PTG/ii for $375 with only 75 hours on it. I'm still thinking about ordering something else too.

I would be interested in how you like the AT-33 PTGII! You'll have to play around with the VTA. The Microline stylus is sensitive to changes. I found with my AT-440MLa (Microline stylus) sounded the best with the arm pivot slightly lower than the headshell.

It's been a few days, but I think that the Hanna carts and the benz micro gold were out of compliance with the arm on the 59l.

I did buy the Benz Micro Glider that was retipped by Benz Micro. It has zero hours on it and comes with a one year warranty .

I'd like to try the Dynavector 10X5 in the future. But the two that I ordered plus the Signet MK111E that I already own will be a start.

Mounted the AT -33PTGii on my Yamaha PX-2. Listening to Pink Floyd's Animal.

Sounds really good, maybe better than my Signet MK111E. But I think that I still need to adjust the cartridge in the headshell.

Still using the signet? I have an mk112. Yes the threads old.
