Post a random pic of vintage McIntosh gear, make me happy!

Hi folks,

I'm having quite a busy time right now, and that unfortunately also means that I haven't seen the insides of an amp or held a soldering iron for quite some time now. And it also doesn't look like it's going to change much in the next couple of months, so please, post a random pic of some vintage McIntosh gear to make me happy. Anything, weird angles, unusual closeups, glowing tubes, rusty panels, rare equipment, anything, it'll be much appreciated. :)

I'll start with some random pics myself. :D
(MC275 Gordon Gow vs. MC275 MK IV(?), PSU of vintage MC75, dusty pair of MC75 shaker table amps)

This is a great idea - I will work on it this week and see what I can come up with for insides and see if I can stump you guys...

All's I've got is a semi-nude of my C28. Not a great sounding preamp by any reasonable standard, but fairly stoutly built.
The function selector switch is the stuff on nightmares, though.

oh, I do have a "borrowed" photo of an MC3500...

Murray - That's what I'm talking about - when is the last time someone saw the inside of one of these things? Right now, I am cleaning up two of them. They are rare - and cool. I don't have much use for mine though, so I will likely be passing them on...hopefully yours has a glass intact. You will never find a complete one.

Glass is intact but the paint has lifted from it and it's pretty much toast. Here's an after pic of the innards. I spent about 2 months on this one; transformer had an open winding. Just need some new glass, lol.

Waiting the arrival of new long-life bulbs to put the MC2105 back together. New decals for the top of the transformer/autoformers and new gel for the meters plus a recap by Terry. And the matching MX114. Unfortunately, both will soon be going on the block as retirement downsizing into the condo continues. Am down from 37 pieces of gear to 17. Keep telling myself its about the music. But, we know its also about the gear.

Thanks guys, that's what I was hoping for! Quite strangely I find looking at such pics very soothing. So thanks a lot so far, and keep 'em coming! I'm also convinced that I'm not the only one who's enjoying this ;) :D

Concerning the embedding of pics...short answer is: Upload the picture, right click on the link provided after it's uploaded (filename) and copy it to the clip board. In your post you then paste that link between
.
http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=296545 has more details on that.

Here's one of my MI-3's.

Like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, all it needs is a little love. :-)

Hard to beat those cool blue lights, even in the dead of winter...

This is all I have: some random pics of my 2205 from the auction site, circa August, 2010. These are pre-Terry pics.

Think it is 'an angle thing'. The angle of that tube compared to the others allows the filament to be seen.
The two tubes in front are OB2's. I did have one that arced and pooped out but I don't remember if it was that MI-3 or the other one.

I did check the filament voltage and it's spot on. Just a bad tube, I guess.
