I have a Pioneer SX-680 and have been trying to find out exactly what the control switches are classified as. There are push buttons for the Power, A/B speakers, Mode/FM Mute, Tape Monitor 1 & 2 and Loudness. They are all a simple push in or push out. There are rotary Pots for Bass, Treble, AM/FM/Phono/Aux, Balance and Volume. I'm pretty sure the rotary ones are potentiometers, but I'm trying to pin down if the other push button ones are faders as they don't raise or lower volume, just an on off switch. Just trying to get the right Deoxit to use on them and it seems like there are plenty to choose from. I have The Idiots Guide to Using Deoxit (revisited), but still trying to sort out exactly which they are to be able to determine which Deoxit to use.
