Pots for a KB60 Peavey amp

Hi there,

It's time for me to learn playing bass.
I will turn 62 soon so let's try; I realized playing bass should be easier than trying to learn guitar.

I bought a second hand Peavey KB 60 amplifier which is enough I think.
It's in perfect condition except some pots are scratching despite KF like fluid usage.

I cannot find the pots on the market, even if I know the parts numbers; any recommandation?

You might ask in the musical instruments forum near the bottom of the page. A few good pictures posted of the pots may help for people to give suggestions. If they're PCB mounted and you can't find suitable replacements, I've used standard pots and just ran short lengths of wire from the pots to the board if space allows. Knowing the values of the pots would help also. Mouser and Digikey have a pretty good selection of various potentiometers, both panel mount and PCB mount types.
 
Clean them with Deoxit D5. You have to get it into the pots. If they're scratchy you need to shoot it in there better--that will probably fix them.
 
Are those the small pots that look like a plastic sealed cube? St any rate it a 50k ohm pot. A photo of it would help to identify it.
 
Is there a nut to secure the shaft to the face plate? If so, you probably don't really need a pot with the metal support. It will make it easier to find a replacement. First use some good contact cleaner like MG chemicals contact cleaner for electronics, or Deoxit D5. Spray it inside the pot and work it back and forth about 30 times and let it dry. I add a drop of Fader Lub to the pot after cleaning.

I forgot Tubesandmore. It's one of my go to sites when needing parts and thbes when building tube HiFi and guitar amps.
