Power amp for my Sansui AU-555a

Hello,

I have a fully recaped Sansui AU-555a in almost pristine condition.
I 've read here and there that it had a very good preamp stage, and that it sounds like a tube amp. Unfortunately I have no experience with tube amps, but they have been attracting me for a while and I wonder if it would be worthwhile to find a tube power amp to add to the Sansui.
Or then, by its "tube" sound, could I not find him a solid state power amplifier instead ?
The purpose is to gain detail, bass (more defined), and improve the sound image (hollographic effect, which I perceive on some albums, less on others).
I don't know much about tubes, and apart from the Chinese amps in the 300-400 € range, I don't really see where to go ... In solid states, I quite like the Quad 405 mk2 and the Naim NAP90 ( which I already owned with his pre NAC92).
I really like my Sansui and its musicality. I just want to give it a little more breadth, detail and tighten the bass. Many thanks in advance for your advice

Thread resurrection, but I too would love some input on this question - I love my AU-555a but wanna give it a bit more grunt to be able to run the power hungry Philips FB-825 speakers. I'm running a set of Boston Acoustics HD9's and they sound very good with the AU-555a, but would love to hear the Philips FB-825 with it.
