Power Output Selection for Teac A-6100

Good afternoon friends!

I zipped down to Austin and back yesterday to pick up my Teac A-6100 reel to reel. This one is in amazing shape and I am looking forward to getting it set up so I can piddle with it.

I was walking through the set up in the manual and noticed it has a "Output Level" switch in the back next to the RCA output female jacks. Per the manual this switch determines the output voltage level as follows:
High: 0.775V
Low: 0.3V

I will be plugging this deck into my Tape Monitor 1 port on my Yamaha CR-1040. Which setting should I use? Any suggestions

Use whichever sounds the best.

I'm with Avionic on this one. But you can read the spec sheet for your Yamaha. It should give you the level range on the inputs to the amp if you really want to know.

I would go w/the level that give the closest 'match' to the other components you switch thru the Yammie so you don't have to keep turning the Vol. up or down when switching to/from the deck.
