Powered mixer question

I have come across a Ross PC5100 5 channel powered mixer that I would like to use the mixer out jack to feed an external unit. I'm not finding any schematic or user manual to help with that mixer. I would have hoped that the mixer output would be a feed pre power amp(master volume control) output. But I don't get any output from it unless I turn up the master volume control. I may need to connect the internal op-amp to a different feed point to obtain my wanted results but looking for a schematic has turned up nothing. Anyone willing to assist?

I know this forum is geared more towards hi-fi and such but there must be guys like me that see it all.

The problem is, it isn't a very "feature rich" mixer. That's kinda what the "master" section does. To do what you want, you'd need a more studio-centric mixer.

On the other hand, if it's solid-state, (which I'm sure it is), you shouldn't hurt anything by running no speakers. If you want to play it safe, you could always put some 30 - 50 ohm resistors on the speaker outs, at the appropriate watt value.
 
Thanks for getting back.

I finally put this on the bench and did some more investigating. I found that I am able to use the effects out buss as my isolated feed. That send comes from the effects control on each channel, but it is post-fader. That being said, it will require a bit more tweaking the controls to achieve the balance I want. But I can accomplish what I'm needing to do.

I do still want the power amp section to feed speakers, I am just trying to run a separate controlled output to a LPFM xmitter for hearing impaired operations.
 
I have a Peavey SL1200 and I believe that you would want to use the monitor option if it has one to do what you want it to do. The monitor on mine is a direct preamp feed to other external power amplifiers but I have never really messed with it so I am not sure if the EQ goes through it or it is just a straight line signal. I have the owners manual but it is on my other computer a few miles away at the moment.
