Powering Fisher XP-55B

I recently acquired a single Fisher XP-55B, I would like to hook up some music to it and get it to play. I know I probably will have to get an amp of some kind, but I was unsure as to what kind. Anything helps.

According to google this is a single speaker in which you will need two for stereo. Any type of integrated amp or receiver will work but still need two for stereo.
 
Even though it typically has two speakers I should still be able to use the single speaker by itself, my main concern is getting the right amount of power to. The last thing I want is to try and hook it up to something and blow out the speaker. One thing I do know is it has an 8 ohm resistance, but I don't know what wattage would be safe.
 
I was thinking 10 or 20 watts minimum.
You could use a higher powered receiver or amp, just don't be stupid with the bass and volume controls.
An ad from back in the day recommends a 70 wpc. Fisher amp for use with the 55b's.

Try not to over think this, it's a single speaker which I assume you just want to test to see if it works? whatever you wind up getting just don't turn it up too loud and you'll be fine

I would also suggest you clarify what it is you are hoping to accomplish down the road. I take it you're not just going to be listening to 1 speaker.
 
Well as of right now like you said I am unsure if it even works, but I would like to possibly get more and have an actual setup but I am still undecided. I have the one and would like to see how it sounds. Thank you for your help.
