I have a Harmon Kardon Citation 11 Pre Amp and a Mistral 307 B Integrated Tube Amp.
I would like to know if I can plug in the Citation Pre Amp "OUT" into
the Mistral RCA Auxillary "IN" .
This will bypass the Mistral pre amp section.
I want to use the Citation Pre Amp instead of the Mistral pre amp.
The Citation has phono stage built in.
Will this cause a problem ?...Is this okay to do ?
Also I know that I have to make the volume even on both pre amps.

Won't hurt anything but this configuration won't bypass the preamp section in the Mistral hence the two volume controls.
 
Not an optimal set up. My two cents - if you can afford it, consider either buying a dedicated external phono stage for your TT and plug that into the Mistral; or get a separate power amp and have all sources go through the Citation.
 
Are you wanting to just solely use the phono stage/preamp from the Citation with your turntable? If so, just use tape out or rec out from the Citation to aux in on the Mistral and just use the Mistral as your main control.
 
If you want to use the 11 as the preamp with the eq and other processing in the preamp, you can go from the 11 main output to the Aux in on the 307. For better performance, set the 11 volume at noon or there abouts and just leave it. The 307 will be the control of the volume.

The line level (typical CD and Aux input levels) are at or above what the 11 will put out at the noon volume setting. You can adjust that to allow the 307s volume control to be convenient, good low volume control and too loud before 3 o'clock on the 307 volume control.
 
I'd use the Citation 11's tape/record output to the aux input on the Mistral 307. There's less processing, no volume or tone controls.

I used the tape out on my NAD 1600 preamp/Tuner to feed an AVR's aux input to utilize the NAD's far better FM tuner. I could also use the phono preamp on the NAD if I used a turntable.
