A while back i rebuilt the pre-amp board on my marantz 2245 with a new replica board from ebay.
Very happy with how it sounds. I recently noticed there are different versions of the board used by marantz, which is pretty commom as far as i can tell. I rebuild mine with two polypropylene film caps (0,47 250v) on c417 and c416 (see photo). This is the same as in the 1060 service manual. In the 2270 service manual c417 and 416 are just wire. Anybody know what the difference would be in sound? What does the cap do in this place in the circuit?
