Preamp DynaKit PAS-3

What did you think of it, and which one did you use? The black US version, or the yellow/tan Hong Kong version? I've thought about getting one, as having the PAS3's notoriously picky impedance matching neutralized to use it with a wider variety of amplifiers would be quite nice.
My response included a ebay link which was inappropriate. Sorry.
But i think both are equal. The us did not want to send schematics, which i usually demand, but
as simple as it is i made my own schematics.

You should be aware that the PAS phono section will be very sensitive to loading at the tape out jacks. It was meant to drive a high impedance load such as would be presented by a tube type RR deck. Connection to SS devices may result in excess loading and loss of bass response.

yes, was thinking the same. While the PAS is a great sounding unit it does not do well with long cable lengths or low impedance loads. Would think the other system is more than a few feet away so longer ICs would be needed. You may want to either use a buffer, or build/buy a buffer that converts the RCA output to balanced XLR output. now you can run some long cables without loading down the PAS. At the receiver end, convert back from balanced to RCA and plug into receiver.
