Preamp Recommendation

Need a recommendation for this setup: Fisher 400 integrated tube receiver, Technics SL 1200 turntable, Advent Speakers. Considering adding a tube phono preamp and a bluetooth streaming option or combination of the two.

Welcome to AK!
As already posted price range does help.
At that price range your probably looking at used maybe?
Also, do you want tone controls, or a line stage preamp without tone controls, is a phono preamp stage or tape monitor important, etc.?

Tone controls absolutely. Phono prestage yes. No on tape monitor. Used would be OK. Just looking for recommendations for this particular setup. Primary listening is vinyl and streaming. Nothing else.

Welcome!!

Your Fisher 400 already has a phono preamp section that works with ceramic and moving magnet cartridges. It also already has tone controls. At least that is what the owner's manual says. So, not sure why you are looking for a new phono preamp. Looks like you maybe just need a Bluetooth device.

Yeah, I failed to ask “would the recommendation be to NOT add a preamp”. No is a perfectly acceptable answer. There are a ton of Bluetooth preamps out there. Any recommendation?

you dont need a bluetooth preamp or any preamp. your fusher has all the preamp dutues covered.

on the ultra cheap, you can get a wiim mini, a wireless streaming device with built-in DAC. you plug it into one of the inputs o your fisher. it connects to your wifi. you select it as the output device on your phone or computer.

or you can buy a DAC with a wifi receiver capabilities, also.

for the tube phono preamp, you may want to consider one of the EAR clones. 250 to 450 depending on which one you buy.

really hard to beat for the money.

FWIW I use the preamp out from a Music Hall a15.3 (picked up used off the big auction place)to feed the aux on my Fisher 400 .. this gives me remote control and the sound is always a surprise.. the 400 is always a treat.
