Around late April/Early May, 2016, I was hauling loads from Otay Mesa, CA (between San Diego and Mexico) to Spokane, WA. From Otay to about 2/3 through CA, it was full on summer, then it became more like Winter to early Spring. Coming back, there would always be snow at the truck stop in Oregon. The next day, I would go from running the heat to AC in a matter of seconds.
Depends on surrounding factors. In Illinois, my house had a red brick facade, red brick patio out back when I bought it, and I added red brick driveway and walkway. You might think red mulch would be a bit much, but it actually looked good. Google street view shows that the new owners have opted for brown mulch, though, which is not bad either.
Mulch is not a thing here, but gravel in a very subdued reddish earth tone is what was originally installed, and nothing bright would be tolerated by the homeowners association covenants.
TPBM likes to have something blooming outside all summer.
True. My wife gets hanging flower baskets for her combo birthday/ Mother's Day from the kids so we have blooms on the front porch all summer and into Fall.
TPBM has recently visited a garden shop and suffered sticker shock when looking at the plants.
Absolutely true my friend! Pooped, had brunch and am currently breathing, of course, because not breathing sucks. Keeping the seat warm, gonna listen to this, watch that....
