Prediction!

True! So far, that has been the case. Of course, having to pee a lot is not my favorite thing.

TPBM has no particular place to go.

False. Tonight. I'll attend choir practice. Or was your -in (almost invisible) italic- "go" intentional? In that case: false, too.

TBPM will try an almost unobtainable challenge (as most challenges are) in the near future.

True (sprinkling out now)

TPBM needs to go somewhere today, but would rather not go.

Yep- but don't use it any more since I have been a light-and-fast hiker for many years.
That pack is a 75L Gregory. I now use a 25L Patagonia Black Hole.

TPBM has ice climbed a frozen rock wall or waterfall.

False, but I have considered owning/building a café racer or a bobber. My dad's got an old 1970 Triumph Daytona he's had sitting around in pieces for 30 years, as well as a late 70s Yamaha (can't remember what model) he hasn't ridden in years. Maybe I can coerce him into building one up. :dunno:

TPBM owns a classical or flamenco nylon string guitar.

Unfortunately, the only musical instrument I own or have ever owned is my voice (bass 1).

TPBM marvels at talented musicians.

True (training weeds and moss to grow on my lawn) I didn't even know I had such a talent.

TPBM has similar unwanted talents.

True. In 1971, the old man got a bonus and my folks splurged on a 26" Packard Bell console.

TPBM remembers and will tell us about the audio setup in the house where he or she grew up.

Yes. We had a Magnavox console. The kind with the sliding top that housed a turntable, a record bin, and an AM/FM tuner. It was a blonde finish, maybe maple? Birch? I don't know when it was made but I remember it as far back as a child in the mid-60's so it was likely late 50's early 60's vintage. Dad loved jazz and big band and I remember him playing Count Basie, et al, too loud on Friday nights much to my mother's chagrin.

TPBM remembers the first LP they bought (or were gifted).

Well, AK froze on me for some reason and TPAM snuck in there. However...

My dad's setup while he had kids to raise was a Harman Kardon 930 receiver, an ERA 444 turntable (which he still has), a Harman Kardon CD91 cassette deck and EPI 100 speakers. Around 1988 he replaced the EPIs with Monitor Audio R100s and the H/K 930 with a (downgraded) Harman Kardon HK670. Times were tough at times, so we were lucky to have a half decent system to p*ss off the neighbours with.

When he was in college he had 15" JBLs that he built custom enclosures for, as well as a Garrard 301 (wish he still had that one!) and a Dynaco pre/power tube amp setup of some sort. He said the efficiency of those speakers was so ridiculous he had someone from over a block away come to complain when he had an epic party one time.

Yes. It was this LP that was the first one I bought in 1988. Still have it too. Mostly because of a cool James Brown mix on it.

TPBM Still has the first LP you ever bought...not gifted.
