DNU Took in a really weird movie last night, wherein the main character meets a girl in a totally dark basement restaurant, and spends the rest of the production trying to woo her. And, he's a time traveler as well, which adds even more to the whole affair!
Your comment on the "pitch-black" restaurant spurred this above share.
True, but it was so long ago that I can't remember what it was.....oh that's right! I was awarded almost "most exuberant dancer" by Moses when the red sea closed in on the Egyptian soldiers and their chariots. You can read about this event in the book of Exodus. I can't remember who beat me.

No. Despite being a self-proclaimed tree-hugger, I don't believe they offset the mining they require, their manufacturing or the non-recyclable mess they leave behind. I believe in energy conservation, smaller living and I may even build a stereo system based on energy efficiency in the future.
Increasingly, yes. They sure don't make washers, dryers, fridges, stoves and dishwashers like they used to. Too much crap made for a price point instead of built for quality.
TPBM has had to replace a relatively new household appliance within the last 5 years.
Unfortunately, yes. Our house is brand new, only 6 years old. We're on our third crawl space dehumidifier. Fortunately all three were replaced under the original warranty, but we still had to pay the diagnostic and installation fees.
