Prediction!

True: I served my apprenticeship with old imperial measurements. But now can only work with metrics.

TPBM will never buy an electric vehicle.

That remains to be seen, but they DO have a long way to go before I would consider one.
The battery charge would have to last at least a week and recharging would have to cost about 10% of what it does. They would have to have solar panels and alternators.... wait! Who am I kidding? You're right! I'll never buy one!

DNU: Side note to @Shominy regarding metrics. While it makes more sense than the American (as I call it because we're the only country still using it) system, It’s still hard to get used to. I grew up with feet and inches and they're just more convenient than centimeters and meters. There is just nothing in metrics that is close enough in length that I can let go of them. When I hear something stated in cm, M, Km, etc, I pull out my calculator and convert immediately.

Also, I don't really understand why Celsius even exists. Fahrenheit works just fine. The only thing C does is throw completely unnecessary confusion into temperature reading. AND NO, having the freezing point at 0° is not necessary and does NOT justify it. People have tried to argue that point, of course.

TPBM is disappointed with 99.9% of products on the market today, especially considering their prices.

Well, we're in transit from Southern California to Vancouver Island and evidently the entire Pacific Northwest will be subject to a cold snap by the time we reach our destination. So, true.

TPBM likes to escape the cold in winter.

Escape the cold? Is that even a thing? Why would anyone even conceive of such a notion? Escape anything ABOVE 32° F (0° C)? YES! IMMEDIATELY! :D

TPBM is always happy to see negative F temperatures.
