Have a line on some speakers , and would love some feedback on what you think would be the best fit for my setup ? Love to listen to rock and pretty loud running a Sansui 9090DB Tecknics SL 1600 with Ortofon 20 stylus and the speakers i have are a pair of Paradigm 7s and a set of Technic SB -7000. The speakers i have a line on are follows.

Tannoy PBM 8

Tannoy PBM Mark 5

Tannoy SBM 5

another set of Tannoy Reveal

and a set of JBL 4412 for 400.00 in mint coniditions

A pretty good list i think..:)

Your technics sb-7000 should be able to utilize all of your sansui's power -- the speakers you've listed won't do you any good for loud music, in my opinion. The jbl studio monitors are meant for near field playing and I think they are perfect for small to medium rooms -- they are efficient too and little power is needed to make them loud. I've like what older infinity speakers can achieve --- articulate and controlled loud music with high powered amps.

Would the JBLs be a solid set for the price , havent heard them yet but will tomorrow morning, any thoughts gang ? THX for your feedback soundalike

I have owned the Technics SB 6000A's and SB 7000's. I also have a pair of Tannoy PSB 6.5 and JBL 4408's AND Paradigm 7se's.
As previously mentioned none of the speakers that you have listed can compare to the Technics for the type of listening that you prefer. They won't come close at all.
I had the 6000a's first and really enjoyed them until I found the 7000's. The only reason that I parted with them was because of space issues and a chap that had to have them after listening to them when he came to purchase a Bryston 4B from me. He left as a happy camper.
Unless you are just bored with them, I would keep them because it would cost a fair amount of coin to better them.
Just my opinion of course.
