Greetings guys!
I picked up a Dual 1229 for free off my local freecycle the other day, and after talking with the owner, he introduced to me his nice audio setup. His interests are mostly in cd's now (hence the free turntable). Well, he had a Sony STR-6120 just collecting dust and I mentioned that I would love to pick it up. He sound pretty happy to work out a deal.
Seeing as he gave me an phenomenal turntable with all the original paperwork and extras, there was no way I about to low-ball him. I kindly told him I would get back to him. Anyways, I checked on ebay and showed him a link for one that recently ended at around $115.00. He then came back and offered it up for $75.00.
I understand it's below what ebay prices are going for, but my question is whether this amplifier is worth having in a collection. My other pieces are of course the dual TT, but also a pair of JBL L100 speakers I inherited from someone. Should I?
thanks for taking the time to read this!
