Price for pioneer system

Hi everyone, I am new to this great forum. I need some advice on a current pioneer system I have been looking at. Pioneer SA-8500, TX-9500, SG-9800, RT-701, CT-F700, CT-F550, DT-510, Technics SL-D303, HPM 100's (2) He is the original owner nd has keep everything in prestine condition, it is like new, owner manuals everything. I have been over two times to check it out and everything works and sounds beautiful. He was asking 1600.00 and I have gotten him down to 1000.00 Advice please.
I have just gotten back into vintage gear over the last couple of years and my current system is Pioneer Spec 1, Spec 4, SG-9500, CT-F9191, Luxman T-110, Luxman PD-277, Pioneer HPM 100 (2) I was thinking of adding his. TX-9500, RT-701, DT-510 to my stack and using everything else for a second system. Any advice please.

Well, you can sit down and add everything up by the numbers to decide. The hpm-100's are worth $200 easy. Depending on condition, I've seen them sell locally on CL for $150-$300, and some other markets can command slightly more.

yup, those units are all over the bay completed sales listings. Get an idea of what they sell for and total em up to get the retail price for the gear.

Don't forget to get the system discount for buying all of it and grab any accessories, cables, boxes and such that might be available, too.

I added up values as I read model numbers (a habit I`ve developed as an amateur audio appraiser) and keeping on the low side of prices it came up to $1050, so if you`ve got it down to a grand, I`d jump on it before someone else does. See the system in my avatar? I know it is worth easily $2k and except for rack and trays, not much different from what you`re looking at as a complete system. I recently sold a Spec 1, 2, & 4 system in a JA-R rack w/1 extra tray for $1500 and it lasted on CL for only 1/2 a day. Getting speakers in your case is a bonus.
