I recently purchased this DAC and was having issues with the Tidal desktop app. I would see the DAC MQA indicator on only a few of the master recordings in the library.

So I decided to try Roon, since the DAC literature claims it is "Roon ready".

Voila all masters playing correctly, along with accurate unfolded bitrate.

Now on to critical comparison with Qobuz......

Welcome to AK. It’s a fun comparison, I’ve went down that road and have a thread about it and it was fun . My findings were Qobuz is overall better sounding but there are much more details between the two comparisons. Have fun with your comparisons and let us know what you think .

If you’re streaming from a pc (Mac or Windows), I’d recommend you take a look at Audirvana+
