ProAc Response 1 with filter box

Hello guys
I am new here and I need your help.
I have vintage speakers ProAc Response 1 that I haven’t used
I am not sure how to connect the speakers with filter box and power amp.

Does anybody know how to set up these?

ProAc has been around for quite awhile and is still in business, if it were me I would go directly to the source.

Contact them and see if they can provide assistance, which I'm guessing they will and they might even provide you with the operations manual from their archives too.

Actually I want to connect speakers with my power amps directly too but it says "Do Not Connect amp direct to speakers without going through filter box."
 
I'm not familiar with that exact model, but sounds like you need to go IN to the filter box, then OUT to the speakers. If you don't, the tweeter will get a full range signal and fry at regular volumes. The woofer, meanwhile, will also get a full range signal and overlap with the tweeter causing lots of problems. The speaker doesn't appear to contain any crossover/filter. It's separate, in the filter box. It's not a complete speaker without the crossover that's in the filter box.

I agree. Looks to me like an external crossover.

That's what I was thinking.
"Filter box" "filters the input", acting as a crossover.
And if there is no internal crossover some sort of crossover function, like the filter box, must be used.
