Problem with Dual 1219 ( CK 20 )

hello....and please to meet you. (first post)

I own a dual 1219. It was in mint condition when I got it....but the cat mananged to brake the lid hinges. I hat the lid that poped open in the front.

What can I do to fix the problem? What can I use to create other hinges?

Is it the one that has 2 flaps up one in the front and one on the upper front, and the hinges are plastic? Flips upward?
If so you are out of luck unless you can find the hinges only online. I havent read anyone able to fix those. Its really bad technology. I had 2 of those covers, Still use one, but its not attached to the dustcover body only to the second flap. Sorry

have you got a link ? I`ll try to search them myself.see what I can find.

p.s.

I believe that the hinges are glued in some sort of dedicated space for them??

I just happened to be researching the Dual 1219 and came across this thread. He mentions using this option and it working well on dust covers. I don't know if it might help you or not, but probably, at least deserves a read and look see.
