I know Hammond makes some great ones that are well-liked by tube amp builders, but what are some of your favorites besides Hammond? And has anyone used enclosures by Bud Industries? I'm looking a a low-cost aluminum enclosure for a hot-chassis phonograph amp I'm rebuilding (I'm fitting it with an isolation transformer of course). Just looking for some ideas - I'm thinking of keeping the front plate from the amp and using it on the front of the enclosure, with 'stuff' mounted underneath and the tubes and trannies up top.

Take a look at the aluminum chassis's by e-bay seller.....ikschmit out of Mississippi.
I've bought two of his chassis, and IMO, they are well-constructed bargains.

Another option is the DIY route, using these aluminum extrusions and some plate. You would need to thread four 1/4" holes and drill a total of sixteen holes for through fasteners to attach the plate, four more holes for feet. You'll end up with a chassis that is very sturdy and has a little more heft
than the formed cases. I can help you out with the plate.

Here's one I made for a preamp, larger than what you need but the idea is the same:

You can anodize those as well. Most any color under the sun. Very versatile.
