Proton 300/301 Radio/Active into larger system (Office Use)?

Hellooooo Proton true believers, ;o))

I am currently running a Proton 300/301 as Satellites (L&R Front) to my Mac Desktop via a Bluetooth/DAC into the aux in RCAs.

I would LIKE (toying with idea) to add 2x Proton AL-200A (30W - 6/8OHM) to (L&R Rear)

Has anyone every:

1) used the preamp out port from the 300 to connect to any larger system
or
2) used the preamp out to: pre / power amp / speaker... AND if so, on the cheap?
3) have any issues (pro/con) with the preamp out from the 300

FWIW, I like the proton sound for my office (as its not to bass-punchy which I am particularly sensitive to), fits my budget and provides enough needle in the haystack, finding mint/VG gear to keep the hunting fun!
