PS Audio 200CX - External DC Power Supply?

I’ve recently acquired a PS Audio 200CX and the internal transformer has clearly gone out to lunch. It buzzes so loud that I can’t hear myself think, and at above 80 volts on the Variac the whole unit starts to chatter. I’ve seen a few posts on people turning to external DC power supplies to get around this issue. Hoping someone out there could recommend an off-the-shelf quality piece that would work. Fixed or variable? Also, any advice on wiring it into the unit will get you bonus points.
