Hello everyone,
I bought a SONY PS-LX55 automatic turntable in very good external condition a few months ago. I changed the cartridge. It worked very well for 3 months, until a problem appeared. The sound cuts off after a few minutes (it's never the same length of time) of vinyl playback, the arm stays in the playback position for about 30 seconds (you can hear the slight sound of the playback), and then rises. The vinyl continues to turn indefinitely. As the sound cuts off, a slight click is heard. According to what I read here and there, this could have something to do with the mute switch? Is it a sensor problem?
I can hear the arm motor sometimes forcing a bit to move forward.
Thank you all for your help! I love this turntable, I really want to be able to fix it!
