PSB 800's replacement tweeters

I picked up a pair of PSB 800's today for $30 without being able to listen to them first, and of course when I hooked it up there is no sound from the tweeters. Does anyone out there know where to find replacements for a decent price? Or alternative tweeters that might work? I don't want to end up spending more on tweeters than the speakers are worth, Thanks

I don't have a specific model to recommend, but since it's likely that you will be able to find replacements and/or troubleshoot the crossover for less than $200-$250, you should be covered.

Look on the magnet for a sticker with a part number...think they might be Vifa tweeters look for a number that starts of with D-25 or 26. Older PSB's will have the tag that says Vifa and the part number while newer ones will say PSB with the Vifa part number, diaphragms should be replaceable in those .

You might want to try a search and/or post a WTB ad on canuckaudiomart.com. You don't show your location, but psb is a well-respected Canadian speaker manufacturer. Even try contacting psb direct to see what they might have or suggest (website = psbspeakers.com)...

Thanks for the replies, I found the number on the magnet, it looks like I'm looking for a vifa D26TF-06. I'll be contacting PSB in the morning to see what they have to say, I didn't pick the speakers up until this evening. I'm in ontario, so it would be nice if I could find something in canada instead of paying an extra $30 to have something shipped from the states. I'll have to figure out how to check that its not a crossover problem before I order anything, but they're some good looking speakers, I want to hear what they've got.
