Pure 2 is ruining my records

I bought a Nitty Gritty Mini Pro 2 record cleaning machine. It came with Pure 2 cleaning liquid. So far the 4 records I did are ruined and I have proof ... The chemical or the machine or just I have bad luck with everything I do... After doing a full wash with this machine and this chemical PURE TWO. All the high end of my LP's I thought I cleaned is gone compltely ... I'm ready to go back to using my old way of cleaning records with a dry record cloth just to get the the dust off the records before I would transfer them to digital or just play them... WHY IS PURE TWO TAKING THE HIGH END OUT OF MY RECORDS... DOES ANYONE UNDERSTAND THIS POST...

Please don't yell at us.

I used Pure 2 many years back with my old Nitty-gritty machine. Worked fine for me.

What kind of cleaning brush are you using? Are you rinsing prior to vacuuming?

Is your stylus clean? You may have loosened deep dirt/debris that is now collecting on your stylus.
 
Cleaning brush ? I put record on little circle thing and then I fit record into the capstan thing I push the one tank pump thing and then I press the up button and liquid comes out on both side of record because it's a Mini Pro 2 ... Then after watching that go in a circle a few or more times .. I flick on the vacuum and watch the record go around in circles again with the loud VROOMMMMMMMMM then I turn that off put record on record player and can tell the high's have dropped out from the record just dull overall sound where before when I heard it the high's were there just crackled popped and ticked and crackled more but I rather have that then a new dead sounding record that a 1500 machine caused.... And the other sealed records that I won't even now let near the machine it's not the stylus because they sound I THINK exactly the same... I actually don't know I haven't played any of those records yet... Oh why did the internet happen... So much danger has happened since before it arrived. Internet = the return of vinyl I used to play CD's since 1987. And internet also equals 500 billion HD pornographic videos in many sites. Before internet store 2 video tapes rentals ... This is not me being funny... I feel everything is turned into a major train wreck.. Just everything in my life has gone and I mean terribly wrong since 1995.... Windows 95 ... 1994 The death of Kurt Cobain that and Frank Zappa the end of a freedom I used to know. I'm not yelling at any human... I'm yelling at God...
 
Personally, I would at least take a look at the stylus, under magnification. But it may be more satisfying to simply yell about it. In either case, good luck.

I am a long time user of Pure 2 and have no issues about the highs dropping from the record. Did you buy the machine new or used? If used, maybe the previous owner made his own cleaning fluid and what you have in your bottle is not pure 2.

Characters. As my username suggests I am a pastor so I can totally get wanting to yell at God especially when life seems really difficult. Go ahead and yell at God, know that God is listening. It’s Holy Week and on Sunday we will celebrate the Easter Resurrection of Jesus, a promise of new life. As I read your post it sounds like you have a lot on your mind. Can I suggest that you find a trusted person to share your feelings with. Find a Pastor or Rabbi or Imam (depending on your religious beliefs) that you can share your thoughts with, who can help you yell at God and most importantly listen and hear what God is saying back to you. While I think I can speak for most of us on AK we would be happy to help you on line in any ways we can, it’s always best to talk one on one with someone in person. I want you to know that God is listening to you, God loves you, and all will be ok. Find that trusted person to talk to and be well my friend. Peace.

You may not be Jewish, but our very own @pustelniakr I believe is a Rabbi, and an all-around good guy.
