Hi, I'm looking for these mid-80's Panasonic VCR service manuals if anyone has them. Or, if anyone knows what the fixes are, here's the problems:
PV-1730... When I run the unit for the first time (after leaving it sit, off for a few hours) the hifi audio is distorted, especially in the lower frequency areas. After about 5-10 minutes of playback, the distortion goes away and the sounds is perfect. After turning it off for a while it will have the same symptoms the next time it is turned on. Sound is distorted through the RCA outs and the phones output. When I switch to normal (linear) audio, the sound is fine. The issue seems to be only on the hifi output. Heads are clean and a new pinch roller was just installed.
PV-1631M... This unit has no hifi output whatsoever. The unit switches to hifi when I play a tape (as it should) but there is a pop and the audio cuts out as soon as it switches into hifi mode. Normal audio is fine once again.
I can't see spending $25+ on a manual when the machines cost me less than that combined, not to mention the fact that they may be irrepairable :tears:.
