QM-800A VU Meter Problem

I have a Pioneer QM-800A which has a VU Meter problem. The front right VU Meter stays pegged to the right even when the unit is off and unplugged.

Is the VU Meter repairable or must a replacement be found?

If it can be fixed how can it be fixed?

Also the light bulbs for a couple of the VU Meters are dead.

Does anyone know what bulbs are used, I've only gotten it partially disassembled.

Thanks

just about everything is repairable if you know how . i tried fixing meters and made them worse .they are more fiddly than clocks . touch the spring and your in trouble ..well i was i gave up .

Did you have a guide to tell you where to play with the meters? Or did you just guess? I've done some minor watchmaking so I think I might be able to handle them if I know what to adjust.

Might just be stuck. Take the top off and try lightly tapping on the back of the meter with a screwdriver handle.

Thanks for the advice. Tapping it did free it.

But now it still runs at a different average level than the left one.

I'm assuming the capacitors that run parallel to the meters impact their readings?
Is the .1 the capacitance and the 50 is the voltage? What type is this capacitor?

Manual shows those as .1 uFd 50V Mylar caps. Probably OK. They're more reliable than electrolytics. They are there to damp or slow down the meter movement, average it out. I would put a tone signal like 1 kHz through it, check the speaker outputs with a meter then check the signal at the meter terminals to find if there's a discrepancy. If there is, track it back from there.
