Evidently Qobuz has made the Connect feature available on several streamers. I have a Bluesound Node 2i and they're saying it will be ready sometime later this year. Can't wait.

Curious if anyone else here has used the new Qobuz Connect feature on their particular streamer.....and how do you like it? Is it as good/better/the same/different as Spotify and Tidal Connect?

Through the Bluesound Node, this isn't available yet. You can control Qobuz through the Bluos app but not the Qobuz app. It's works but nowhere near as good as having the actual app.

I was under the impression from what I read that this Connect feature for Qobuz just came out. How long have you had it?

I've been spoiled for so long being able to use the Connect feature with Spotify and Tidal. Qobuz is my "Go To" for the best streaming sound quality so I'm looking forward to it. Wayyyy overdue.
 
Sorry, I misread - I control Qobuz through the Wiim App - been doing that for a couple years so far.
(I've been a Qobuz subscriber since Nov 2019 (with a number of device over the years, including some oddball streamers, a touchscreen Raspberry Pi, a BluNode, and finally a WiimPro).
 
I have been able to use Qobuz through my miniDSP SHD-hosted Volumio for a long time. It's a good service, I hope they keep expanding and doing things to bring in new customers and more music too.

Looks like Wiim is on the list in the the link I attached. You should now be able to use the Connect feature.
 
Thanks for the links, glad I know this now. It will definitely be easier to stream now that I don't have to walk up to my PC running the SHD Volumio interface!

I’ve been using QC with my WiiM streamers and it works perfectly.

I was disappointed to find that the node 2i wasn't compatible yet after all this wait.

As far as Wiim goes, I'm so use to Wiim app I actually preferred it over QConnect.
 
I have been using it with innuos. Flawless integration but I like Qobuz through the sense app more. I will try it on my wiim next
 
Qobuz connect works fine with my Lumin U1 Mini, but I don’t really need it as I use Roon which will play Qobuz tracks as well those from my FLAC library of ripped CDs
 
My Lumin T3 has Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect capability but I rarely use them when listening to music. I use the native apps on my laptop to search for new music and to create and manage playlists. I then use the Lumin app on my iPad to control the streaming. I prefer this because all of the Lumin streamers that have built in DACs have up sampling options on the Lumin app that are more effective than any others that I've experienced. In other words, the music just sounds better to me through the Lumin app.
 
My Bluesound Node 2i now sees Qobuz Connect as of this afternoon. I tried it out briefly and it seemed to work well. I'll check it out this weekend more thoroughly.

By this weekend we might have the Spotify lossless option. We'll see.....and I'll have to decide which one to go with.
 
My Cambridge Audio CXN v2 has Tidal and Qobuz connect and I use both. Very convenient and seamless experience. Weirdly, for the CXN v2, to stream above CD quality, you have to stream using their Stream Magic app rather than Tidal/Qobuz Connect, as the latter two modes are limited to CD quality. Most of the time that suffices just because it's more convenient and I honestly can't hear the difference between CD quality and higher res. But anytime I show off my system or try to discern differences in higher res playback I switch to the Stream Magic app.
 
So I've had some time on my hands since I'm on my fourth week of recovering from a total hip replacement.

Right after Qobuz Connect became available on my Bluesound Node 2i I checked it out and really liked it. Shortly after, Spotify finally came out with their lossless option. I continued to evaluate Spotify's long anticipated lossless party and I gotta say that I'm pretty disappointed. To be honest, I prefer the 320kbps sound compared to their so called lossless audio. It just doesn't sound right to me.

I went back to Qobuz the other day. First, I gotta mention that I've given Qobuz several tries over the years since they came out. It was always a major hassle trying to go through the whole process of trying to register/log-in etc. The sound quality (to me) was clinical sounding with no warmth to it. Overall, it wasn't worth it to me.

Well now, things have changed.....for the better. Setting up the app works perfectly now. The Connect feature works great. The sound quality is GREAT. The app isn't as good as Spotify's but it's good enough for me. I don't need/want a lot of the BS Spotify has to offer. I just want music.

Spending time with Qobuz for the last week or so it has become evident to me that Qobuz certainly has a better source for their music. The original masters? A lot of the music I've been listening to on Qobuz sounds more authentic than Spotify. I've heard it mentioned more than a few times that Spotify has AI music? Is this what I'm hearing and would that explain why Spotify sounds so screwed up lately?

I've had Spotify since day one and it's been great but this stuff ain't gonna fly. In the meantime I hope Qobuz continues to improve. Their sound quality is really good.
