The potted tank circuit in the multiplex on a Sansui QRX-7500 has failed. You can wiggle it and it will work or not work. To Sansui fans, this device is sometimes referred to as the "red thing." The primary number on it is 4240710 and the subsidiary number is R42701. The service manual calls this out as LC01. This is a classic "unobtainium" part.
According to the manual, it has both 19kHz and 38kHz tanks in a single potted plastic package.
Has anyone had luck customizing one of these? Solutions? Ideas?
