Quadratic Acoustic Diffuser Panels, economical options.

Been investigating room diffusion products. With eye to economically priced options.
I keep eye on thrifts for large metal wall art. I found a couple pieces. I use on my front wall for a little diffusion.

I ran across some Quadratic "wood" diffusers approximately 4' x 1+' x 3+" deep for ~$100. On Ebay by vendor called Midwest_Lumber. It reads they are in rural Indiana. ( I have no connection to this vendor. ) Some of the material looks to me like pine. These are about the most economical larger diffusers I've seen.
Anyone here tried these diffusers? Or, other economical diffusers you have found.

Whenever I am looking at buying audio stuff, I take that money and buy a new used tool, like a radial arm saw for instance.

Be sure to check the frequency range of diffusion specification and how that specification was measured / who certified the specification. 3" deep is pretty shallow for that type of diffusor.

I have an ultra cheap jobsite tablesaw that can't even get to 12" from its fence. Little chance of cutting a straight 4' cut.. And a small radial arm saw. Not sure I want to buy and store more equipment, at my age.
I'm sure I'm not alone. Have many unfinished projects. I weigh each, whether I want to DIY or buy. Also considering ceiling absorber panels. Have tools to make them.

You may be right about 3-4" depth being shallow. From other examples I see.
