Quest for a lawnmower yields Polk Monitor 7Bs

I headed out to look at a lawnmower I saw for sale on the local CL. I left with a pair of nearly mint Polk Monitor 7Bs and original Polk stands for $30.

I also came home with a Troybilt Tru-Cut self-propelled mower in great condition for $40. My wife had noted that she would be happy to help with the mowing if we had a self-propelled mower.

So, it's been a good rainy morning so far.

Either of those would be a major score on its own, the fact that you got both in one trip is fantastic! I have two pairs of 7b's, they are wonderful speakers that seem to pair well with just about anything (although I like mine best with a Yamaha CA-810).

When it stops raining you can send the wife out to mow the lawn while you enjoy the Polks...

Check to see when that Troy Bilt was made. When the company was sold to the new owners they discontinued ALL the parts for the previous models.

Been there done that.

Before mine gave up th ghost it was part Troy Bilt, Craftsman, Snapper and MTD mashed together to some kind of Frankenstien thing. That was a mess.

Sage advice. I figured I could get a few years out of this one but had no idea all the parts were discontinued.
