Question about a thorens td-125

Hi,

I found a 125 but I'm a bit confused on which version it is. It just says "thorens td-125" on the nameplate so no MKII written anywhere however it only has 2 sliders instead of 3. It basically looks like this minus the MK II part:

Has anyone seen this version before or has someone customised it? Thanks

I'm thinking the third slider was the cuing control for units equipped with an arm at the factory.

That's how they came without the factory Tonearms. Minus the third slider. And yes it was for cueing.

Ok thanks guys. Would you pay less for the first edition TD-125 and is there a big difference between that and the MKII?

IMO I would rather have the one without the third button. That way you can change arms without any problems and it still looks like it came that way.

I have a TD-125 mk1 and I am very happy with it. It has two buttons and I have mounted a Fidelity Research FR-54 arm on mine. A great combo. I believe the mk 1 is heavier than the mk 2 also. Mine weighs s ton. I hope this helps...
