Question About Bose 901's

I bought ONE Bose 901 Series VI Speaker & Equalizer at a estate sale last week someone else beat me to the other one.My question is I want to test them out with my Technics SA-936 Reciever could I hook it up on one side of main speaker connection without doing any damage to the Reciever,Speaker or Equalizer?Would it hurt not having another Speaker on the other Main Speaker connection? I understand you have to hook the Equalizer to the Tape 2 monitor connection,I just don't want to screw something up.So any info would be appreciated I'm fairly new and willing to learn. Thanks,Keith

You should be able to hook up one side with no problem, but the 901 does need the Eq to function properly, make sure it is hooked up right. Just needs to be looped between your preamp-out and power amp in.
They sound like doo doo without it!

You need to either:

1) have another speaker on the other channel

2) turn the balance knob all the way to the side where you have the Bose.
