Question about Elektra labels on The Cars debut.

I have 2 copies of The Cars debut album both mint. One is the standard red label with the big white E on it and Elektra under it. The other is a white label with a small circle half red and half black with a squiggly looking e on it and Elektra under it. They both are catalog number 6E-135. I thought maybe the white label was a promo but there are no promo markings on the label or jacket anywhere. Does anyone know what the difference in these pressings would be (besides the label).

The years in which they were released its the difference. I believe the red label its older than the red and white label. Check Disgogs.com for the correct releases years and labels.

If you research the dead wax info you'll find that the red label is closer to the original master tapes than the white one. Do both albums (or either) have the inscription "RTB" in the dead wax?
