Question about Headphone and stereo compatibility

I have Pioneer vsx-3900s Audio Video Receiver and ordering some Sennheiser hd 600 and I'm wondering if i can use this receiver to power these headphones because I know that they need a amp because of there 300Ohm impedance but i cant find a specification on this stereo if this can power high impedance headphones out of the Phones port on the front, if anyone has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Pretty much any decent vintage receiver with a headphone jack should have no problem with almost any set of headphones with a standard plug. The headphone output is almost always the same as the speaker output sent through some resistors to reduce the output.

Bear in mind that 20-25 years ago, standalone headphone amps were almost unheard of in the consumer market. Everyone used their stereo receiver or amp to drive their headphones.
