Question about my Boston Acoustics A-200's

I need new woofers for an otherwise nice set of (early) Boston A200's. My question is, are all the woofers identical from the A100, A150 and A200 series? Also, I understand the Advent Legacy and Maestro woofers are very similar. Thanks!

Twice I emailed Boston Acoustics about the specs on T1000 and A40 speakers, and they emailed me back in a few days. Once you get the information, go to Parts Express and find the woofer that most closely matches. Good luck...those are very good speakers. Peace and goodwill.
 
Drumolator and Andyman, the previous owner chucked the original woofers and dropped in some older generic ones... wish the originals were there, believe me... wondering if any of the 'A' series will work as I would like them back to original before I shuffle off to Parts Express... which, by all accounts, have decent replacements.
 
No personal experience but many claim the Dayton Classic 10" is a good subsitute sonically and a direct, drop-in replacement.

+1. I am sure that these would be pretty close to spec compared to the Boston woofers.

Email Boston Acoustics. They will tell you the specs, which will make it much easier to replace the woofers with something suitable. They may even have replacement woofers. It does not hurt to ask. Peace and goodwill.

I e-mailed them about 2 years ago, and they sent me an original new A-400 woofer.
Still had some.
Give it a shot, you never know.
